About Me..

I was born and raised in Syracuse NY, a small vibrant city located in the center of the state. From a very young age, I knew I had some kind of interest or fixation for hair. From stealing my sisters dolls to braiding my friends hair at school, it soon became apart of my identity.

My love for hair soon turned into a side business. In high school, I had created a mini salon of my own in my basement. From trimming my friends hair, doing everyone's updo's for Prom, to the school shows, I had created a pretty reputable name for myself.

Once I graduated, my life completely changed. I moved to Greenville SC, just my mom and I. Leaving everything behind and coming to a new place is hard. However, I made the most of it and decided to follow my passion. I finished hair school and immediately started assisting and getting myself out there.

I am now currently working as my own independent stylist, the owner of JakeVincentHair. My purpose lies in the clients, getting to enhance their sense of identity, self-esteem and beauty. I will forever be grateful for that little kid who just wanted to braid.
